Mine was the same 2 tone, but silver, with the black bottom. The front bumper looked awesome with a black face and a silver upper part (just below the black pop-up headlights and grill), and mine was the coupe body. Mine was just a GT, so it didn't have that fancy-schmancy graphic equalizer (), and probably not the same seats. I used to look at the differences of the GT & GT-S in the owner's manual and be envious of some of the features of the GT-S. I decided even as a kid, if I were going to choose options, I would just get them all if possible, because I never wanted to own a car and wish I had gotten some feature. I'm the type that is better off with a feature that's completely useless, than not having it and wondering if I would have liked it.

Considering pulling the trigger on a G90 Ultimate lease, $0 down $779/mo for 36 months, 10k miles/yr. Great lease deal Genesis is running this month, expires Nov 30th. Anyone taken advantage of this deal yet? With the $1500 Conquest incentive, it's $10,750 off MSRP, bringing the cap cost to $60,650!

As if we didn't know which car the G90 is squarely aiming for, Genesis just added a sponsored post on CL. The messaging is subtle but comes across loud and clear, especially in the last few minutes of the video.

Round 1 to the G90.

Your turn, LS500...

They did 13k off msrp on the 2015 genesis 5.0 so not a big deal. they will probably do 15k off the g90 soon.

that upper tier luxury market is not easy to crack.

Having owned the 2015 genesis g80 and current owner of a 2007 ls460, I can say that hyundai is barely at where the ls460 was back in 2007.

Toyota really upped the bar with the LS460, even after it being 10 years old, the electronics and mechanical components are clearly of better quality. the parking sensors are faster to respond, the mechanical components are smooth and quiet. the back up camera is more clear and defined.

The genesis looks better though.

Your G80 will not be equal to your LS460 for sure. It's a class below. You need to drive a G90, or compare your G80 to say an ES350.

None of the thins you mention are an issue with the G90, every electronic I tested was superior to what is in my 2015 LS460.

Genesis G90 is the competitor to the LS, not the G80. Their prices are nowhere near each other so of course the LS should feel and be much nicer then the G80.

Oddly, I haven't seen the dual screen rear entertainment package yet on any of the G90 Ultimates on sale. Even though this option is shown on the Genesis web site, it does not come standard in the Ultimate trim. This is a departure from the Hyundai Equus Ultimate. The G90 Ultimate trim has every other bell and whistle available in the S-class and 7-series, including massaging front seats and HUD.

It's puzzling why front massaging seats and HUD are not options even on the 2017 LS, considering that these features have been available from the other companies for quite a while. I hope these, and a rear entertainment system will all be featured options in the LS500. Can hardly wait!

I have always been impressed with the Equus but the interior ***** and craftsmanship seems not up to par. I finally saw the G90 and all seems balance and up to par. Very impressive.

The Genesis is RWD and targets the GS, Of course it's value priced at the ES level, but offers v6's and v8's in a RWD layout ala GS350/GS460.

Correct, but it's a different sort of car than the GS. The GS is much more handling focused while the G80 is more ride focused. Somebody looking for that handling wouldn't be excited by the G80, which is why I said compare to the ES.

If your handling example holds true in the mid-range cars? Then the LS is not a competitor for the Jag, an S-, the 7 or the A8. All of which are far sportier and substantially more sure footed in curves and at high speeds. The "spring rate" alone can't determine the class. I've never driven a GS, but can't fathom a GS as a canyon carver. Reviews suggest the GS is no match for a 5-series unless it's equipped with a handling package.

For instance, I read the RLX doesn't give-up much ground when chasing a 350Z in the twisties. I passed this info on to a friend who was shopping sedans, he confirmed that info. and bought one. Not much fanfare has been touted regarding a standard GS's handling prowess.
