What is that loud "bump"noise?
My current 2011 LS 460 AWD has an annoying "thud" or "bump" noise that seems to be coming from the rear of the car. I have noticed this noise almost every time that I park it. I only drive the car a couple of times a week. Just back and forth to the office. About 36 miles round trip. This occurs approximately 10-15 seconds after I shut the car off. I am the second owner. Purchased as a CPO one owner. Car currently has 19,200 miles on the clock. Also, approximately 2 weeks after I purchased the car, I noticed a sort of shaking noise or clacking coming from the front end whenever I drove over a bump in the road, or speed bump. The front coils were replaced. Under warranty. They also had to accomplish a wheel alignment and rotor service. (So much for that 161 point inspection!) Yes, it is much better, but I don't feel that the front end is as taught as it should be. In my opinion, I shouldn't hear anything. (maybe that is too much to ask. lol) Still hear a little shaking or clacking. But, as I say, nothing like it was. Could I have a control arm issue? Otherwise, this automobile is issue free! Any input will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Yes, after the car is turned off. I know, sounds odd. But, I will try to video (with sound) and post here. Perhaps, others have experienced the same issue. Also, I accidentally posted this under the incorrect thread. Sorry!

rear shade? see if it makes that sound when you park - might just need some geese
