I run 37psi on my 18's...the lower you go sooner or later there are diminished returns. There must be a minimum pressure before adverse wear and reduced load capacity
Failure to maintain the correct air pressure can result in poor gas mileage, reduce tire life, affect vehicle handling, and cause vehicle overloading.

Underinflation is the easiest way to kill a tire. After all, air is what allows a tire to carry the weight of a vehicle and its cargo.

I've run 30-31PSI in my Pirellis for 15,000 miles with no issues, no accelerated wear. Before that I ran 30-31 in the Michelins on my GS for 35k miles, again no accelerated wear, no premature shoulder wear.
We're talking about a couple pounds here on a car that used to have much lower factory recommended pressures.
Might I be getting reduced fuel economy? I might be, but I bought a Lexus for the smoothest, quietest ride possible and if I pay a little bit more in fuel, or get a few thousand fewer miles out of the tires...if I'm getting a ride I like better so be it.
If somebody is dissatisfied with the ride, you've got to try reducing those tire pressures a couple pounds you will notice a difference.
