Hi All,

I'm new to the LS section of ClubLexus having just brought an 2006 LS460 SE-L after selling my 1999 GS300.

I'm looking into some mods and was wondering if i could get your input on them :

Which is the best method of getting an Ipod connection into my LS? - Vais Technology / Grom Audio / Other ? - Features i'd want would be things such as Ipod control / display of track names etc / charging of the Ipod.

Can the factory satnav be updated?

Who ships the Vertex USA Digna kit internationally (To The UK) ?

What bulbs is everyone using? - Factory Lexus or Aftermarket

Where's the best place to buy roof and trunk spoilers from?

Never heard of a 2006 LS460 or an SE version. The LS460 came out in MY2007. The LS430 was out in MY2006 unless its different over there. Got pics?

Factory Satnav can be updated at a few hundred dollars. IMHO its better to use Google maps on your phone or use the car satnav to get you close then use your phone to get you closer.

Congrats, you have a beautiful car. 2006 or 2007, it is a 460L with the Executive seating package. I agree with Greg about the nav system. As for VAIS or Grom, it is a matter of what you prefer and tech support offered in the UK. They can both do what you want. The VAIS kit will mirror the iPhone (or iPod I presume). With the Grom, you have a stand-alone device, and I believe it is still being tested.

For roof and trunk spoilers, there are several suppliers. Please search the threads as there have been some recent discussions.

I see that your car is equipped with the Driver Attention monitor. Does it also have the advanced pre-collision package with the dual cameras above the rear view mirror, the Lane Keep assist and DRCC options?

Beautiful car in the best color. Check out CJITTY's build thread. He put in LED DRL's and they look great.

It was built in 2006 but it is a MY2007. Mine was built in Nov 2006 but it is (oops) WAS a 2007.

Comotiger - I know its got the Lane Assist & Rader Cruise, not sure if its got advanced pre-collision package as i haven't collected the car yet due to going on holiday & work commitments.

Roadfrog - Yeah i'm hoping that some of other members from Europe can provide info on where i can get the parts i'm after.

Looking forward to seeing where you go with it. I actually like those wheels and tires on there. They look aggressive. I also think the exhaust does to. Me likes. Keep us updated and coming back. Great group of people here.

Greg3852 - Current idea's are :

Vertex USA Front & Rear Lips - If i can find someone who will ship it to the UK,
Change the Taillights to the red versions,
Roof & Boot (Trunk) spoilers,
Either get US spec or smooth the front fenders - Removing the side repeaters,
Get side mirrors with built in turn signals,
De-badge the rear - Going to remove the Lexus & LS460 badges but leaving the L,
Change bulbs to LEDs,
New HID bulbs - Thinking of changing them to the Osram Night Breaker Unlimited's,
Either fit an HID kit or LEDs into the foglights,
Full interior & exterior detail,

with that color combo i dont mind the clear lights but i can see how it does fit the ls in style and grace.. wheels look sick though..

I have a set of painted mirrors with built in turn signals, that the seller said should fit my LS600, but they don't , It could be that mine is for a RHD car and that is why.. . BUT I know that a few guys in the US have mounted them on their LHD LS460's in the US.
