So interesting car. Has the sport grill and interior but no paddles and no brembos. Also wheels are not sport wheels..

I have the same interior but no wood on the steering wheel.

Definitely not a sport package car. Was it modded to look like one?

Beautiful car. Not cheap though.

That's exactly what I was thinking - modded after the fact maybe. I asked the dealer, after reviewing the lexus datasheet for that year.

I doubt I'll get a clear answer.

Given the mileage, I might consider paying in the ballpark of $32k. Seem reasonable? I know it's hard to determine without a clear options list.

The wood is called dark brown ash burlwood. Perhaps the window sticker is still in the thick manual case. Mine was...

Low 30s is very reasonable if the car checks out, but given the weird options/trim, it warrants a very close inspection.

That red LS is a Canadian car; it has metric readings inside. Saw a more detailed ad on it on CarGur. Low, low price for the miles!

I don't mean any offense, comotiger, but your 2012 LS driver's seat cushion doesn't have the option to extend out? Our 06 LS has this option and we only have the ML edition, not CL or UL. I would like to upgrade to a 2012 or 2013 someday and am surprised the 2012 would miss this luxury feature.

I think they did offer a "touring" package that gave the sport interior but none of the other sport package stuff.

I can't find a touring edition in the literature, but there is an appearance package that has the grill and 19" wheel option. According to the Lexus literature, the two tone black and brown interior is only available with sport package.

Here's the Lexus Brochure

http://www.lexus.com/documents/broch...S-Brochure.pdf

But I did find this:

Salesguy,

If the car checks out, it appears to be a very clean low mileage Touring Edition. It's probably as rare as my sport edition. I never use the paddles and the Brembos while huge, have been a PITA and I had to change out the dirty factory pads for aftermarket.

Def. a cool car if you can get it for low 30s...

Good eye, it is metric. But that's not the biggest problem. It has an accident on the carfax from Ontario: "Accident reported, Involving right front impact with another motor vehicle, Moderate damage reported."

And that's why it's now priced at $26,999 (down from $30K) because nobody wants it. There's simply too many other clean low mileage LS460s available.

None taken After some digging, I realize that my 2012 LS had the thigh support feature (front cushion extender) but I never knew about it! I very much enjoyed the car but did not spend nearly enough time in it to explore all the options. Thanks for the correction.

Said red LS isn't a Touring model either; that package was offered in a dark color only, and had the gorgeous matte wood but it adorned the steering wheel as well.

Does 2013+ LS460 drive better than the old LS460?

I was in a 2015 ES and feel it drives more stable than previous ES.

You are correct, it's a sport model just like mine. No wood on the steering wheel...

It does, but the difference isn't dramatic. They stiffened the structure considerably in 201:

Good catch on the touring edition! I'm going to take a look at that car today hopefully.

The Touring Edition models are also scarcer than hens' teeth. I've never seen a used one. Shame, bc I'd be interested in one. Not a huge fan of the pre '13 interior but with that matte wood and the saddle accents....wowzers.
