Default Is this really Hidden Chrome??

Okay I was wiping off my 07 LS and notice some time was peeling up. I walked to get a better look at it.

Then noticed the reflection and peel back a little and BAM!!! chrome...or at least stainless.
Has anyone noticed this before, or have pics of what it looks like under there?

This makes sense now after reading the other thread. I saw in the service history that the previous owner of my car had these replaced. He paid for labor and Lexus paid for the parts as a goodwill gesture. It was about 3 years and 30k miles ago so hopefully it holds up well.

I've noticed mine starting to peel up and I'm still debating if I should try to re-attach the peeling vinyl or just replace. Tough choice.

Notice it was beginning to peel on my LS and I reattached it with some adhesive. Solved it.

I used the version of Crazy Glue that comes in a little bottle with a small brush. I found the brush was good for getting into the tight space. So far it is holding fine.

I had about 1 inch beginning to peel on the front passenger side and I used a few dabs of super glue to fix it. Works well.

Agreed, just completed it, I had probably a total of 3 feet or so coming up on either side. That concludes my art project for the year.
