I bought a Fram Fresh Breeze with arm and hammer, at Walmart. 12 bucks. They had a ton of them in stock on the shelves.

I picked up a couple of DENSO 4531019 from Rock Auto for $7.46 a pop. Denso supply a lot of parts to Lexus and maybe these filters. That's the name on the cabin filter frame.

That is the one of the correct numbers for the Denso cabin filters that fit the LS. That is one and it is not a carbon filter but it should fit. The others are the 87139-50100, which is a carbon filter and 8713907010 and 8739052020 which are not carbon.

Thanks Dennis. This is what Rock Auto's description says about this filter for the 460:

"DENSO is the OE supplier for this vehicle; Premium particulate filtration media; Captures pollen, dust, and other allergens"

Frankly, however, I not convinced about the value of this filter, let alone the charcoal, and especially replacing it every year. I just checked my car's current filter which has been in for 3 years and it looks brand new and I live in FL where the a/c is continuously cranking, mostly on higher fan speeds. Also, I have friends in the residential/commercial a/c business and they all recommend using the base filter for homes, etc., saying the premium type is a waste of $ unless you have pets and/or children with allergies. Just my 2 cents...

I got my last one from rockauto as well. I went with the TYC 80010BC which is the knock off of the 87139-50100 carbon filter. My wife has bad allergies and anything that helps is worth the extra couple of bucks.

My filter looked pretty damn clean as well after a year, I replaced it anyway, it was only 12 bucks, but I understand what you're saying.

My engine air filters also looked remarkably clean after a year and 29,000 miles of driving. And the thing is I was worried about them...figured I had let them go too long...the package said to replace them every 12,000 miles. So I figured they'd look terrible when I changed them, instead they looked so good that I felt funny throwing them away. And where I live the pollen in the spring is so bad that my car turns green for about a month. It's so bad that you can actually see it blowing right through the air. And in the winter I drive on a lot of salted roads...the stuff is everywhere...it's all over the car, you can see it hit the windshield. I figured the filter would look nasty, it looked almost brand new, but I changed them anyway...they're only $12 bucks a piece.
