Are you sure the air is even cleaner? Maybe the 2018 LS will add an atomizer like the S class for us to feel the difference . Who knows, maybe a CL member has already made this mod....

I think these things are a bit of a gimmick when it comes to "air quality" inside the car. Unfiltered air is getting in your car regardless of the filter (sunroof, open windows, EVERY time you open a car door, etc).

In my opinion, the only truly beneficial aspect of this filter is that it filters out large debris and particles that could POTENTIALLY lessen the life of the blower motor.

BUT because it's a Lexus I dutifully march to the drum of it's needs and fork over my 6 dollars per year to replace it.

I put something like that in my glove box already. I use Glare squash scent and every time I turn on the A/C, it blows the squash into the cabin. Even when the jar is empty, it still smells of this yummy goodness.

I'm not sure I like the smell of squash. Is it cooked squash or raw? Butternut squash or spaghetti squash?

funny about the name of the smell. it actually has no smell of the vegetable at all. It's a sweet smelling scent. Have you ever bought one of these?

LOL. I know, I was just being a goofball.

FWIW, I just buy a cheap dollar store freshener and stick it in a crevice somewhere in my car a couple of times a year. This after someone told me my car smelled "like an old man's car". OUCH.

Where does one get a (carbon) filter for six dollars? I think mine was about $25 US.

I forget which one I bought, but IIRC, it was only 10 bucks, so I bought two. It was a US seller though. Have a spare one for next year...
