Default 2012 ls 460 vibrating 30-40 mph

My 2012 LS 460 AWD vibrates while accelerating and decelerating through 30-40 MPH. Dealership has changed front left and right drive shafts as well as front differential. Did not stop the vibration. Is or has anyone experienced or heard this problem with their 2012 LS 460 AWD? Any recommendations?

Tires getting worn? Try rotating tires front to back and see what happens?

I have this vibration problem on my 2012. I have a CPO (under warranty) so it is going back to the dealer..... Hopefully they don't try to tell me it is normal. The vibration feels like a CV joint problem...... I swapped the tires front to rear just to eliminate a tire problem. Vibrates on deceleration at speeds greater than 55mph.

Thanks for responding. Mine is CPO as well. Dealership did not stay this was abnormal for an AWD LS 460, but that they should be able to rectify the problem. They have spent a lot of time and parts "fixing" the problem. I'm tempted to return the car as I'm within the dealers "5 day return policy". Very frustrating.

Thanks for responding. They tried that...did not help...all brand new tires on the vehicle.

Let us know the outcome; at least you have the option of returning it to the dealership though

Mine had a bad oil pan bearing. Yes, that is correct - there is a bearing in the oil pan that supports the longer front drive axle. One thing to try first is bumping it in Neutral while it is vibrating. If the vibration stops, it is related to post #13 here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...n-ls600hl.html

Definitely abnormal. My '12 AWD doesn't do that at all, smooth as butter when moving. I do get a slightly perceptible vibration at idle sometimes, been told it's normal and has been getting better with each oil change. If you're coming from a 430, at idle anyway you definitely feel the engine more (not bad by any means though). Hopefully the problem gets resolved, at least it sounds like they're taking the issue seriously. Good luck!

Is it a vibration or a shudder?

if it's a shudder, then look for a TSB correcting that. If I find the link I'll come back to edit

If the tire installer didn't use a Hunter Road Force to balance the tires, new tires could still be a problem. However, at speeds under 40 mph I tend to doubt it is the tires, but it's worth checking the balancing.

I have the exact same issue on my 2013 AWD, with absolutely brand-new tires!

Thank you for the TSB, Tec80. It should come in handy.

Thanks again!

The TSB covers 2009-2012 models. It's worrying you have this issue with a 2013 LS. Did the problem develop gradually or after switching to new tires? Please update after you have had the car diagnosed and fixed.

I often wonder why service advisors aren't on top of these? Why is it more often than not, we fellow owners have to dig these up and tell them about a known solution to a known problem.

How come it's not standard protocol for the SA's to first browse through related TSBs instead of the trial and error everyone has to needlessly endure?
