Default Thoughts on Blacked out wheels LS460L

So I just got my 2011 LS460L. Originally I had my heart set on chrome wheels. I personally only like the look of OEM wheels. I don't know why, it's just my personal taste, nothing against anyone else. Thats why we all love cars, they are our own unique expression that we design and drive. Anyway, an opportunity came where I can get some new LS460 crafted line black wheels. What are your thoughts about a black 460L with black wheels? I am trying to go for a sportier look. All opinions are welcomed. I have attached a picture of my car below. Thanks :thumb up:

Also, if i got the wheels, I would also remove the chrome pillars and black out the chrome window surrounds to complete the look. There is a guy by me that can do 3m vinyl wrap on the window surround and it looks painted.

Each to their own but I love the chrome wheels you have and I think they look better on a luxury cars.. I'm not a fan of black wheels on luxury cars.

Doesn't fit the character of the LS IMHO.

Yeah, no thanks. The look lacks class in my opinion. Looks like there's a void where the wheels should be.

You looking at the ones on eBay right now? I was debating how they'd look on my 2011 sport as well!

I think it would look good. Take those chrome pillars off.

I would not black out the vehicle. I like the LS because it has understated elegance. The black wheels and pillars will destroy that vibe. Then again, I am an "old" fogey

Yeah, I agree with Steve to lose the chrome pillars! I forgot that the chrome was a mod

Its your car, do what you want to do. Some people will love it and some people will hate it. But at the end of the day if you can go home park it in your garage and go on with your life then do it. Afterall it is an material item and material items can be sold or replaced

Absolutely, he should do what he wants to do, but he did ask for our opinions...

I personally like the look of the black Crafted Line rims. I wish I could get them in 20" though instead of the 19" they're offered at.

I've got the 19" chorme 5 spokes. I do like them, and like the OEM "chrome" accents around the windows and door handles. On a dark car like mine, the chrome wheels and accents makes my car pop a little. Without the chrome accents, it would be drab.

I agree with the poster who said black wheels look like a void ... it certainly does. Black tires with black wheels? Not for me.

I too like OEM wheels. But I like some aftermarket wheels too. Like the wheels I saw on PrinceAkim's and Tee's cars. Those friggin wheels were NICE! And ... maybe it's the size of the 460L or something, but big wheels (like 22 inch) look proportioned well, better than on smaller cars. The problem is, I'm too cheap to buy those wheels when I'm already rolling on 19" chromes.
