I use Chevron because they're all over the place here and it performs well based on my seat-of-the-pants feel. Use to use Shell exclusively, but after my anecdotal test, switched to Chevron. Just felt smoother to me in my previous car and I've read good things about the additive Techron.

I gas up at this place called Cumberland Farms, they're a convenience store chain throughout New England and they have a gas card program. Basically when you use their card you save ten cents a gallon...no huge deal but I end up saving a couple bucks every time I fill up. Plus their gas is already cheaper than most places in my area.
Is it quality fuel? I doubt it, but most of these places share distributors. Who knows what I'm getting in terms of additives/cleaners? Probably next to nothing. But the octane rating has to be measured/monitored, right?
I haven't had any problems, I even rotate between super and midgrade every other week. Does that make me a bad person?

I never refuel at stations at the base of hills. When the 93octane and water were in my tank the Sunoco attendent acted as though we were communicating from different dimensions

I use 93 exclusively in my LS (2004). Had a platinum Lexus mechanic who opened his own shop tell me about 10 years ago (when I had a 96 LS) to pony up and put premium in LS every time. He drove a 1991 LS with 450k miles. I figured he had nothing to gain by telling me to use 93 so have just stuck to it. 235k miles and counting.
I also put 93 in my LX570 but that bothers me every time I do it since I know it's just a Land Cruiser. Can't break the habit though and have never put anything other than 93 in either vehicle.

I forgot to mention I break the 87/93 alternate in favor of 93 if the spread is less than 40c per gallon. Lately I've been seeing slightly less spread and my local Sam's club has a 34-38 cent spread between the two lately.

Your vehicle will not perform any differently whether using 91 or 101 octane. That's not my opinion, but fact. I forgot to mention that the only difference between 91 and 93, is that some gasoline providers have no ethanol in 93. It varies by region, but Chevron here in Canada has no ethanol in 93, but does in 91. I believe Shell does the same. I'm not a fan of ethanol, and the potential for adverse side-effects is seen to cause a host of other issues, including carbon and coking of BMW's emissions systems.

Nothing wrong with that! They will use a quality TGMO filter (made by Wix I believe). As for the oil, they may or may not be using TGMO and may or not use synthetic. For example, The Lexus dealer in Vancouver, uses 5W20 or 5W30 dino and not 0W20 syn unless you specifically ask for it. Your bill should state what they used. Obviously, a synthetic oil change will cost more.
