I installed the 19s I bought last year and I can't get used to them. I loved the old subtle look if the 18s. These look good too, but I feel like they are a bit too flashy. Jesus, am I getting old? I'm only 37.

Yep. I'm 54 and I have 20's on mine. No way I'd go back to smaller wheels. LOL

I also installed the 19s on my 08 and am very happy with them. I think that they add a touch of elegance to my car and they do make the car "stand out" in terms of visual appeal. I am somewhat conservative and if I thought they were too flashy, I would be disappointed.

At first I didn't care for my dipped factory 19's because they were too flashy.. but after spending a few hours cleaning them up, it's hard to deny these beauties!

The LS 19 looks old school to me. Once upon a time Niche sold a custom wheel and the wheel Lexus uses looks like the retro:

I was partial to the 3-blade version, but those were the 90's.

Your last question cracked me up, as my taste in cars has always been that of an "old man". Interestingly, I was 37 myself a few years ago when I bought those very same 19 wheels for my 460L as a summer set (now my winter wheels on the 600).

I am an OEM wheel guy (though some non-OEM wheels that folks have on here have made me reevaluate... I haven't bought anything, but I can appreciate pretty wheels).

Personally, I see these 19s as adding a hint of sportiness and good looks without overdoing it. It's a matter of opinion, of course. The 18s, OTOH, while they made the car drive like a dream, I thought were worse than boring, particularly in their pre-2010 form. Again, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so I'm not going to say what you should and shouldn't like .

What do you think makes them flashy - the large spokes, the shape of the spokes, something else? I think your car looks sharp.

I just got my car a little more than 1 month ago with the same 19" wheels. I think it's the best looking wheels for LS ( of course my personal opinion).

Thanks .
I am an OEM wheel man myself. Only after marker rim for me is a BBS wheels. Love those to death.
I think the big fat spokes is what's making me think twice about them. When I bought them I was super excited. I still like them. No noticeable change in ride or noise. I have to program tpms.
I just hate cars that scream for attention, so the less, the better.
I still have my 18s. So can always go back and forth.

I really love the understated look that comes from the stock Sport 10 spokes.
