I know Texas has cheap used cars if your willing to travel. In my area like you said 20k is the number for a mint 2007. That's what I paid with 85k.

I wouldn't have paid 20K for a 2007 unless it had under 80K miles. I got my '10 Sport with 78K for 26K - All services done by dealer.

Whatever you do, hire a private mobile inspector to really check things out and make sure it's not sitting idle for a reason. And they had an offer at $16,500 and didn't take it? Why did they even mention it then. Sounds like they want to get you to come up in price...game 101...I smell BS

They exist. Trust me, they exist.

Trouble is most people want to buy an 80K 07 LS for $16-17K and there's lots of nasty ones out there for that kind of money.
