Default My wife is not impressed.

Ive owned this car for several months now and my wife finally took the wheel for 2 hrs. Later I asked her what she thought. She said its nice but just a car like a full size one we rent when we get lucky and get leather seats. Crushed me. She could have at least lied and thrown me a bone.

Oh nice, i would probably continue to run through everything that you have to see what you could downgrade and save on expenses. House, clothes, purses, restuarants etc etc

She does like her purses. Actually 2 things she specificlly likes are the back seats and the feel of the steering wheel. She also thinks it looks better than my 91 did. The hp and gizmos don't impress her.

to most women a car is simply a tool to get from point a to point b, I get the same unimpressed behavior from my wife about all my cars, heck even some of the remodeling I have done on the house.. I ask an opinion and I get a shrug and "whatever you want".

but talk to her about the things she likes and I get excited responses. it is what it is.

She doesn't care about the car. Just says it's an old mans car and we should get a convertible or something stupid. She says she enjoys seeing me happy about owning it though and that's all that matters. She likes her 4Runner but really wanted a gx460 I refused to pay 20k more for.

The DW loves the LS 460L. When I ask her to take the Bronco II I get that look of "well I guess your not getting any tonight". She loves how it handles and all the cool things it is equipped with. I think the only car she liked more was her 71 MB 350SL that was brought back from Germany. She is still pissed that we sold that car.

Could be worse....She could be like me and Love Shoes, Purses AND buying / modding cars.

You couldnt just show up with new car parts and not share with your wife right? LoL!!

Just think of all the money your family is saving knowing she isnt going to ruin the tires taking the car out on the weekend, blowing up engine$ and tranny$,the occa$ional quarter panel and fender damage from tapping a bit too close sliding,Car part$ used as furniture, etc, etc!!

You sir, have dodged a bullet.

Very very funny, my girlfriend has literally never said anything nice or positive about my FD. At best it is a neutral comment, lol. Personally, I prefer girls who don't care about cars at all, "car girls" can get annoying.

You're not alone. My wife says it's just another Toyota and don't want to drive it from the day one I got this car. The best she can do is to go with me in the passenger seat. She just enjoys her fully loaded GL350.

In all fairness, That FD isnt much to look at anyway...no comment is probably the best compliment you'll get on that.
Insecure car-guys...the worst
