I'm going to start a thread in the LS400 forum to discuss the value of a very clean well documented '97 LS400 Coach Edition.
I just traded mine for my 07. They gave me 2k. I probably could have gotten 3 on Craigslist but I just wanted a clean fast breakup. Cheap rear wheel drive cars here in Colorado are not really in demand. People who drive more expensive rwd cars have other 4wd cars for when they need them. I saw my 91 on the lots website for 5k. Don't know what they got for it but it went fast. My wife and I have a rule. We only keep as many cars as we can fit in our garage. 3 is our limit so my baby had to move on. That was by far the best car I ever owned. My friend put 300k on a 99 and he says the same thing all the time about his ex.

Very nice find! Congrats! I love the color, though I am biased lol. I see you went a similar route I did which was find a good reputable non-Lexus dealer (I found mine at an Audi dealership with 17k mi last yr) and got a great deal! I have yet to see an F sport nebula the '12 bodystyle, looks fantastic from the pics. Anyway, enjoy the new ride!

On a side note, love your 996 Turbo! That is one sweet ride! One of my buddies got one last yr and we road tripped it from Denver CO back to MI lol, absolute blast while being pretty comfy for such a fast car. Cool garage layout as well, looks like lots of effort to get the weekend car out!

Congrats! That color combo is really nice! That's something I would personally have chosen myself if I could do over.

Thanks guys, I did my first highway drive today across the Bay. Holy schnikes, it's a whole 'nother world compared to the LS4. I think I'm gonna really like this car!

Must not have been long if the wheels are still clear of brake dust.
Those Brembos stir things up quite a bit.

I sold the creampuff LS400 to a close family friend for $3500, he's thrilled as his '92 LS400 has 260K on the ODO and is pretty beat up.

For $3500, I can go buy an extended warranty to cover that air suspension...

Lemme know who/where you go to get your extended warranty.

I'm friends with the Service Director at my local Lexus dealer. They recommend EasyCare.

I have another buddy in the used car business and he's checking out a few options for me. I'll share what I decide to do...

If the car didn't have the air suspension, I'd probably not get the warranty, but knowing it will eventually fail, it's probably a good idea.

The ride quality is amazing btw. Of course coming out of a 1997 that's not a shocker.

Whatever option i'd go with would need to have a TON of miles built in. I easily drive 30K/yr.

Ultimately it may end up cheaper just replacing the OEM shocks out of pocket as they fail with aftermarket (Arnott), cheaper than it would have been for me to find a CPO Sport and having added the 5yr/unl mile extension.

Awesome find!

I too just purchased a Sport package 460, mine is white with every option save for the rear executive seating (not even sure that is available on SWB) but mine is 10 (65k miles).

IMO the sport package is far and away the best looking interior on an LS.

Congrats and thanks for sharing the pics!

I feel the same way! I have a white 98 with near perfect interior and just turned 100k miles. Not selling it, keeping it forever!
