THoughts on this deal
I plan to get another LS in a few years, but I came upon this last week, Let me know what yall think.
2014 ls 460L with 3k miles on it! Also its lexus certified. Dark gray ext with peanut butter int.
5k down $780 per month lease.
Car is fully loaded, ML and everything.
If I get it id keep after the lease is up and pay on what its worth, which would be cheaper.
Wife talked me out of it as we have 3 cars now, and ISF, is250 2014 and we will be getting a 2016 gx lease delivered in a few weeks.
the ISF I we about 8k and plan to keep that forever also. THe IS 250 she will keep to drive to work as she doesnt like driving anything nice there, which would include the GX or LS if I got it.
I plan on getting an LS and this just seems like a great way to get into a big body with low payments.

What are the nuts and bolts of the lease? What's the sales price, purchase price, residual, money factor? How long is the lease for? The payment is okay, but the $5k down is a lot.
CPO leases are much higher interest than new leases. If you're going to keep it long term, it will be far cheaper to just buy it and finance it from the get go.

I think you should wait. Once the new LS comes out , I think the prices for the older ones will come down a bit.
Do you need another car ? No and you probably know it. But life is short and I'm all for enjoying life and toys. I have 3 cars of my own, barely drive any of them . Maybe once a month each. I'm actually proud how awesome my wife is with all of that. But she knows, I need my cars and music to stay sane or else things get messy.

You're going to be waiting potentially another 2 years for the new LS to come out...that's a long time to wait.
They will get cheaper every year, at some point you have to pull the trigger if it's something you want.

If by "peanut butter" interior you mean "white" interior, that's probably the least-desirable interior color. White interior cars seem to be priced lower, as a general rule.

The "white interior" being the parchment interior is actually quite desirable on the LS.

The flaxen interior is really nice... that was my (only) preference over the black interior I ended up with.
During my extensive search, I've found white interior cars stagnate in the market for 90+ days, while other interior colors would get snapped up within 30 days or less.
Personally, I feel that the white interior color would show significant wear much earlier than flaxen or black.
My 2002 Lexus SC430 has a black interior and a gazillion miles, but because the interior is black you literally cannot (easily) see the wear and tear. I attribute that to the color of the seats... the dirt and creases just don't seem to show up as visibly.

I'm not sure why you would assume "peanut butter" meant parchment and not flaxen. Not sure what sort of peanut butter you're eating 
Ive had Parchment cars, I've never experienced any reduction in value because of it. In fact with my 2010 ES when I priced it out they gave me more value for the parchment. All depends on the demographic of the vehicle (I.e older people like cream interiors).

If you keep it clean, cream interiors stay clean just fine.

Seems like a decent deal now that I back into it...
Florida.. so not an AWD, right? I'll assume 3,500 miles... Residual should be $37,500 for a 3 year lease, Tier 1+ buy rate .00130 This assumes it has ML, Laser Cruise, etc... That's a 36 month residual.
Assuming 6% Florida taxes are in there and the usual south FL $700ish dealer fee...
This is roughly a $62K sale price which is cheap for that car assuming 3K miles.

Assuming 6% Florida taxes are in there and the usual south FL $700ish dealer fee...
This is roughly a $62K sale price which is cheap for that car assuming 3K miles.

On a related note, I recently drove a loaner Lexus with cream interior, and with under 10K miles on the clock, the leather seat (on the driver side) of this 2015 RX was ALREADY showing more wear than my "gazillion mile" 2002 SC430 with black interior.
Granted, this was a loaner, that's been likely beaten to death by 100+ different drivers in the last 6 months alone... but still. What a shame.

I'd have to look but I think that .00130 is cheaper than a new LS.
Was that $780/mo all inclusive with $5,000 total out of pocket or was it $780/mo plus tax and $5,000 DOWN plus fees, 1st payment, etc..?

Loaners are always beat to hell. Like I said though it's a question of care. I've had multiple cars with that light cream interior. All were like new when they left me at 50k miles. My LS is the light grey, I'm at 15k, like new.
Mine was .0007 new last year. Not sure what they are now.

They change monthly... CPO LSs back in December were .0008 or so, CPO GSs were .00001!
