Congrats on the purchase, Batmobile!
I enjoyed reading your intro story.
While I admire the LS600, I find that is just has so many variables when buying them used... from the air suspension (high cost to fix when it goes bad), to all the pricey hybrid components which can be prone to failure.
You mention that check engine light that came on after purchase... you really should figure out what the issue is... unfortunately, you can bet that if the dealer reset the check engine light (right before your purchase), then there are possibly other concerns under the hood... it simply doesn't speak well to the dealer's integrity.
What kind of dealer did you buys yours at?
On a related note, while I certainly appreciates aftermarket mods... I get kind of worried when shopping for a car that has/had aftermarket mods installed... you simply never know the quality of the work... when I was shopping I had walked away from a purchase because an LS460 had an aftermarket remote start installed with wiring that didn't look "professional"... as if they cut corners. To me, that's a scary thought... electronic gremlins can be hard to chase down, unless you're hands-on yourself.
Post more pictures... I like the concept of "go big or go home", I just don't have the guts to modify an ultra high end cruiser...

Nice story. Gratz on your new car. As an 08 LS460 owner, while it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the 600, it's such a delight to drive. Sounds like you have plans to make it your own as you find the money and time. That's the way to do it. Enjoy!
