Salt buildup on underhood fittings?
Hi folks,
Another question about the 2014 LWB I bought recently. I noticed today that the two fittings that attach to the pneumatic tubes that raise the hood have lots of stuff that looks like salt. The rest of the underside of the hood, all the other fittings and the engine bay itself are absolutely clean. I wonder if the stuff is leftover soap from the carwash, but there is no soap residue elsewhere under the hood. I considered something related to the battery, but ruled that out because the fittings on both sides are affected similarly. Any guesses???
Best wishes,
AC
