Default 07 LS460L suspension

I recently purchased a 2007 LS460L in which the factory air suspension was removed for an air bag system, only they used the factory air bags that came with the car along with aftermarket compressors. After having issues with the air bags, I removed them and installed D2 coil overs hoping it would make the ride smoother, which it did not. There are no mechanical issues but i feel the ride should be smoother than it is now. Is it possible to revert back to factory suspension and if so, how expensive would it be to do so?

As to the cost of changing back to factory air suspension I do not know, but here is some info to share:

I have a 2011 460L with the air suspension and I must say I am very pleased with the ride it provides. I did check to see if my LS is equipped with the newer air shocks (TSIB L-SB-0138-11) and it does have them. The ride is very smooth and quiet. Maybe this could provide you with some assistance:

TSIB L-SB-0138-11 States in part: “Some 2007 – 2011 LS 460/460L and 2008 – 2011 LS 600hL model year vehicles may exhibit a knocking type noise when going over bumps. This may be accompanied by a rough ride condition.”

Perhaps someone can add to this discussion and explain why an air suspension would deliver a rough ride when it fails, or was this particular rough ride attributed to the old design of the Air Shocks, Actuator and Absorber Control.

Those who have had their air suspension replaced with the redesigned parts may be able to provide further assistance as to whether the current air suspension has had greater longevity or is worth going back to.

Wouldn't the factory non-air springs and struts bolt right in and give a factory ride?
