2014 LS460 lease
Some of you may remember i was on the market for a 600 which was bought from under me... now an opportunity came up through a friend at a dealership to get a 36/15k miles lease on a 14 F sport. The price is $440+ tax per month and roughly 1200 cap cost (2K drive off) and if I role the cap cost into the lease payments I am at roughly $500. I am trying to get my head wrapped around this and need someone's help:
Generally I have had it with leasing - you pay for 3 years and are left with nothing at the end. However, we are in need of a 2nd car and my wife asked me to stay under 35K. I am considering a 2014 IS350 F sport, and a certified one will cost roughly 35K. If I financed it for 72 @ 2.9%, I am looking at roughly $600 per month. I checked the auction prices, and abased on 2011 IS350 values currently, I will just about break even after 36 months (20K value and 20K left on loan). Looking 3 years back from that, a 2008 IS350 goes for 13K in auction so by 2022 when the car is paid off, I will have that in equity. I know this is apples and oranges, because the IS350 is not an LS460 - but what would you guys do? pay roughly $500 and have nothing in 3 years or pay $600, keep it for 6 years (something I have never done in my life but am willing to try) and have equity? Ian not including operating costs in this equation...
THANKS!!

That's not a bad offer on the 460 at all. I recently leased a 2013 LS460 and for 24/15K and pay $880 / month. Nothing down, purchase price of $53K with a residual of $37K after 24 months. For me, I'll never keep anything long enough to have it paid for and would much rather be in a newer vehicle. It's all about what you want. I know I would much rather lease an LS versus buy an IS. For me, the *best* financial decision wasn't the one that would make me the happiest.

If 3 year old LS is leasing for over $800, what does a brand new LS lease for these days ?m
This shows $739 lease for 2016 with 6 k down

I love my LS460. I had a 2008 LS460 prior to this 2013 and the car is familiar but still brings enough new technology and updates to keep things interesting. MSRP for my 2013 was about $95K from what I can tell and what other forum members have told me.

Found something fishy... in the service history it says that rear breaks are not original... how can Lexus lease a car not up to spec that is still under warranty? One possibility is that the original owner had it with the brake squeal and spent $$ on aftermarket parts but I am not certain.

Well the dealer just called me and told me the deal is off... they made a mistake on the price.... This is after they ran my credit and got me approved.... I am furious to say the least and told the manager I will complain Lexus North America. Can a dealer post a deal, get you approved and pull the deal off? Isn't there some law about honoring deals?
