The idea is not a terrible one, and they look reasonably good on the side fenders... nearly OEM looking... but I'm sorry that rear trunk badge appears way out of place, especially considering it's font is bigger than the rest.

If you remove the rear one and make the side one's just a tad bit smaller it would actually be pretty nice looking.

Certainly unique and classy... but I (respectfully) think that rear one's gotta go

Best of luck.

P.S. - on an unrelated note, that rear spoiler on the LS looks pretty cool... makes the car look more sporty. I don't think I've seen many (or any) LS's with spoilers... was this OEM or aftermarket?

The issue is that the LS is an understated, elegant car. The point is not to have to broadcast what you have and what it can do, that its for you to know and enjoy but not to flash at others. Then of course people who realize that those badges didn't come on it from the factory will just have a chuckle at your expense every time they see it.

This, of course, is one way to view the matter...

It does look better (size wise) in this shot, though I think I'd still lean towards finer lettering (like the Audi example).

As for the trunk, I echo others' comments: it does seem a bit too huge relative to the others. I actually paused for a moment, thinking of GX470 and LX470, both of which had a V8 badge on the gate that didn't "match" the other badges... Somehow, it could fly on those vehicles, but IMHO, it clashes on this trunk lid.

On another note, your car seems pristine - looking good!

Could the OP order the original OEM V8 logo from the GX470 and use it here?

You'd probably have to do some digging for the part number at the dealership... people probably don't order those often.

I think size-wise and font-wise, it should be a pretty close match.

I'm definitely digging the side V8 logos... as long as you get them OEM and/or smaller.

I actually think these are - if not the same - very close to the GX 470 badge, hence my comment on the size.

Just searched for it, here's a link to an OEM one:

Lexus Manufacturer Part Number: 75445-60010

Seeing that there's an OEM one, I may actually consider it for my 2013... or maybe this thread will talk me out of it... I'll have to give it consideration.

Saw a VVTi emblem on this one I was looking at.
Wasn't sure how I felt about it but the size was so 'right' that I stopped to wonder if it was OEM.

I've never understood why people get all excited about "VVT-i" or "VTEC", especially with asian cars. Its just valve timing people.

That emblem is not OEM.

No kidding.
99.3% of people wouldn't know what it meant anyway.

Or.......they'll say, "wow, that looks AWESOME! I wish my car had those!"

I agree though....the trunk emblem is a bit big, and I may switch it up for something smaller if I find one.

I saw it the other day on here where somebody replaced an Acura with a Lexus, and they posted "miss the VTEC though!". No...you don't miss the VTEC. Lexus has variable valve timing too its just called "VVT-i".

I'm going to get an emblem that says "leather seats" or "automatic climate control" and put that on my car too. Makes about as much sense.

I think the badges on the side are okay, the addition on the trunk makes it a bit too busy for my tastes.

Except for the Lexus emblems, front and rear, a fully debadged LS460 might look kind of cool. I think those with F-sports would want to keep that badging, though.
