Exclamation License Plate Covers - Anything classy out there?

I would like to find a "classy-looking" clear license plate cover...

I'm looking for something preferably made out of a "glass-like" material and entirely clear (not shaded or tinted... don't want the additional attention from law enforcement).

I went to the standard auto parts stores (Pep Boys, Auto Zone), but they seem to only carry the "junky" plastic covers that you wouldn't put on a classy car.

If anyone has any leads or insight, please share.

Thank you

This is what I've been using on every car for the last ten years. Great stuff.

What is the main benefit of the cover?

It will protect the plate and also clean up the area a little bit as well.

Or get a super dark tinted one and hide from cameras! Kidding!

Hmm got a picture of how it looks on yours? Is the "Weathertech" logo/etching very noticeable?

Would the original license plate frame be intact?

Probably would help others to know I think if they trying to buy.

While these products are enticing... I don't want to end up in handcuffs over a license plate cover

It sounds like WeatherTech is the front-runner for now...

Dr. Jekyll,

Thank you very much for posting that picture!

I was going to ask you for it (since my car is also black, AND you got the black cover which I'm now considering), but you beat me to it!

I think I'm pretty much convinced now that this specific brand and color are the ideal scenario for a black LS.

Off topic, but but of curiosity, what's that metal thing hanging off your rear right side of the bumper?

TY Sir! Looks great on your black LS indeed.

I take it then it's a cover + license plate frame all-in-one then?

If so guess deal breaker for me.

That tag is a "safety check" It's an annual certification I need where they check for insurance, illegal tint and other non DOT certifications. That horrendous bracket was put on by the dealer but at least they didn't stick it on the bumper. I am having a custom bracket made and am actually installing it today.

Yes it's all inclusive. What's nice is it keeps the plate nice and clean and having vanity plates I appreciate them not getting trashed. The gasket even seals the front plate even though the lower half is hanging off the bumper.

New tag bracket. It's a 1/4" piece of black plexiglas I oversized then quarter rounded. Then I polished the edges to a gloss black. Just need to get a new inspection done.
