Can anybody tell me where the air suspension release valves are on an 07 LS460? I recently had suspension sensor issues which has resulted in the car being jacked up like a monster truck, and now even with the sensor replaced it will not come back down.

It's almost like the car has detected the fault and disabled the compressor. I have tried pulling the battery to see if that would reset everything but it hasn't helped.

I'm hoping that if I can release the valve the car will realise that it everything is back at normal height?

No idea, but can you can see the air canisters underneath? I honestly have no idea what they look like, but I would think they would be fairly obvious. Probably not large like what you would see in aftermarket air tanks stuffed in the trunk, but maybe a few cylindrical canisters near the suspension, maybe in the rear. You can follow the lines, although I wouldn't recommend touching anything while under there unless your car is on a lift and even then...

I would take it to the dealer.

I've seen this problem on some older domestic cars but never on a Lexus. I'm not aware of a release value and I would take it back to the dealer.

I'm sure there's a way to reset it without releasing the air manually. Locate a shop that has a TechStream and ask them if you don't want to spend the money at a Lexus dealer.

There is a reset procedure in Techstream. Dealer used it to fix asymmetric height issue with my air suspension and since then I did not have any problems.

Thanks for the replies guys. In the end I managed to sort it out by unbolting both of the front sensors from the lower suspension arms (so they hung loose) leading the car to believe it was even higher than it was. That seemed to kick in the air release and my suspension is now back down to a normal level.

Edit: oh and fwiw, i read somewhere that the ls430 has a release valve in the trunk. After ripping out all the lining in my ls460 trunk I can safely say that the ls460 does not. Lol
