Default Question for 245/40 and/or 275/35 20 Tire Owners

Every shop I called doesn't usually stock these sizes. Called the usual suspects like America's, Discount and Les and all of them are "special order."

Do you find that fact inconvenient? I know the chances of blowing a tire is small, but just curious if it was an issue.

Thanks and my name is changed! Rhambling man!

This is a very very common size , kumho makes it , dunlop does , many other brands do . You shouldnt have a issue

The question I have isn't about who makes them, but more so that the tire shops around me don't usually have them in stock at their location and they must be ordered and shipped to them. I called all of them around me and none of them have that size available in their store.

Just wondering how other people deal with that assuming a blowout.

Maybe I'll just order two extra tires and warehouse them in my garage or storage.

Even on special order, I've never waited longer than a day and I'm in Canada. I'm on my second set and both times they gad to be ordered in. Both sets were Kumho/Ohtsu. Waiting a day means Id only be on my spare tire a short time. No way wold I order an extra set.

Thanks! Just curious. I'm overly cautious about everything as you can see. Lol, it's a habit from my job as we always look at the least common denominator and must plan for it accordingly.

"Due Diligence". Nothing wrong with that, but in this case, at least for me, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
