If it makes you feel good, do it. But you're wasting your money. There are videos out there on the results of Techron and just like all other cleaners, it does little to nothing. And that's supposed to be the best stuff.
Carbon is hard to remove, for all the times I used Seafoam, I noticed ZERO carbon removal inside the intake once I took them off. And if you're worrying about cleaning your fuel injectors, keep in mind that the additive's in fuel are excellent cleaners...plus the spray nozzles on an injector are angled in a way that they clean themselves. Injector tips are usually spotless.

It's not like Techron will break your wallet. Do it.
As for the Rislone, I would advise that you use the Toyota Engine OIl System Cleaner instead. I had fantastic results with it.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know about the "Toyota Engine OIl System Cleaner", is it available from the toyota dealer only?
I was thinking of Rislone based on the info from that thread

In that same thread, you'll see several references to the Toyota product. I am in Canada and it's sold everywhere at the dealers. I have heard that it may be hard to find in the US. You can get it olilne though. The toyota stuff specifically mentions our car's VVT-I system. As I stated in that thread, it cured my hesitation issue and I'm over 18 months hesitation-free. The Rislone won't hurt though. so give it a try.
If I go to a toyota dealer for my oil change, what brand/type of oil should I specifically ask for?

Seems that you are right, might not be easy to find in the US according to this thread I'll try locally otherwise Rislone might be the best alternative.

Checked with a Toyota dealer in Canada and they won't ship it to the US and I couldn't find it on ebay or amz.
The Rislone needs to be added after an oil change but what i was looking for is something like the Toyota engine cleaner that can be used prior to the oil change. I've heard about Motor Medic Motor Flush or Seafoam, any recommendation? Also, with regards to Techron, do i need the 12oz or 20oz with a full tank?

There was a product that DevH recommended, "Auto RX". Here is their website:
http://www.auto-rx.com/.
This product does seem to be the best out there.
