anyway, the air suspension is a serious concern of mine cause it seems like air suspension stories never have happy endings. I had it on my 90 LS and it broke twice, and cost a butt raping amount of money to fix. really don't want to relive that hell. looking at all its service records, the air suspension is original... works but its 9 years old.

thoughts?
My 2004 needed the right rear strut replaced for what was $1,500 all told. But I've had it for 10+ years and think that was a fair price to pay for the comfort I've received during the life of the cart. My new car is air as well and I wouldn't change it for the world. Worth every penny to me.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't seen a lot of air suspension failures in the 460 forum have we?
Alas, not catastrophic (a la old S500 dropped to the ground) that I am aware of, but they do get noisy, at least for the earlier model years (through part of MY2010, I think), and there is a TSIB for this (at least for the rear, if memory serves me right).
The rear of my 460L began to sound like an old Crown Vic on certain bumps, and the air struts were the issue. The front ones were also replaced to address other noises.
So, for a 2007, it's wise to plan ahead. Some folks have converted to coils and even figured out how to turn off all the Christmas lights.
I know I can do that! I thought you we going to share your secrets. Oh well.
oh I know stuff thatd blow your mind about these cars. did you know there are 19 computerized processes that need to happen in the second that you hit the start button till the engine cranks?
