Understand that CPO is very comprehensive which is generally a good thing.
However when a very nice low mile good condition car arrives with properly
installed aftermarket brake pads...it can not be certified. Same with a good
looking windshield replacement...no CPO available.
The conundrum facing the dealer and consumer is then, if it looks and runs
well and the former owner was given clean fair $$$'s should the offending
parts be ripped out and replaced ($$) just so the CPO ($) can be purchased?
If the CarFax seems up to date, figure out what part of the CPO do you want?
The 100k warranty is available ala carte, Finance rates may not be as low as
CPO but FICO scores above 720 should get you done reasonably.
