Default Extended Wheel Studs

I tried searching but only came up two results on here which didn't really provide the necessary information.

I wanted to add a 10mm spacer to my front aftermarket wheels but need to extend the wheel studs.

I tried to use this oem replacement wheel stud as a reference for the knurl:

Not sure if it's correct but if it is, then the knurl I need is 0.6495.

H&R has one but it's a 14.90mm knurl which equates to 0.5866142.

Other than that I can't find anything else.

I would get a spacer with bolts but those usually go on 15mm or higher.

Any suggestions where or do I need to get it custom?

I can't seem to find the pertinent posts, but CJITTY had addressed this (can't remember if on his 600, 460 or both) with adapter plates with their own studs. There was some regular re-torquing needed at the beginning for the new studs on the plates to hold the necessary preload, but from what I remember, they worked really well.

Thanks for that bit of info. I will keep searching for that post as well as not sure where or how I get these adapter plates yet.

Do a search for spacer and it should pop up. I was just reading it the other day.

I searched all over.......but came up empty. I had to go with a spacer with built in studs.....totally custom.

What size spacer with the built in studs did you end up getting?

I tried asking a custom company to do built-in studs on 10mm and they wouldn't.

Worse case I'll go 15mm with built-in studs and camber it slightly.

I actually started to e-mail them a few days ago, stopped getting a response. Probably too busy I'll try calling them since I just blindly found them on google. Since already a recommendation on CL then I feel a bit more confident to pursue them further.

One problem with 10 or maybe 15mm spacers is that it's not thick enough and the original studs will stick out, preventing the wheel to sit flush with the hub. You'll have to grind or cut about 1/4" or 1/2" of the OEM studs. And then, when you want to put OEM wheels or wheels that fit right, you'll have to replace those studs. Ask how I know I'm about to replace my studs so that I can put OEM wheels back on.

That exactly right, the only exception is if your wheel has draining or lightening pockets on the rear face of the wheel. These pockets allow your factory studs to remain and sit inside those pockets.

Yup I actually have those pockets I found out.

Ended up with that motorsport-tech company. 15mm fronts w/ built in studs and 3mm rears w/o any studs. Hope it all works out in the end.

I was almost about to pull the trigger on Akata on eBay then read some horror story posts on here so I steered straight away.

I never knew what those indentations/ recesses/ holes were for.
