Exclamation "Lexus" rear badge removed from 2013+

This may have been mentioned previously, it appears Lexus removed the rear "LEXUS" badge on the 2013+ LS460's in the United States production run.

It appears that in places in Europe, they still have the badge.

I kind of like the badge.

When I finally find a 2013 LS460 and purchase it, I may consider buying the badge and professionally gluing it on.

I realize this may run counter to modern culture of minimalism... but just my thought.

Any thoughts on the rear badge? See the picture below.

The change happened for 2010. I occasionally think about removing my 2008's badge -- I think it's redundant with the logo -- but have never gotten around to it.

I personally like having it. A matter of opinion.

Yeah that's a cool idea. I wouldn't glue it on however. I'd use the 3M black double sided tape with the red backing.

It actually happened in 2011. 2010 Lexus vehicles have the Lexus badge. If you like it then buy one and stick it on. Comes with double sided tape.

When they first did away with it I thought it looked unbalanced but I have gotten used to it and now I think the newer ones look strange with the badge.

Marketing theory seems to be that the Arrowhead Logo is a strong enough Brand Image.
Did it have something to do with the fact that M/B Audi and BMWi rely on badges alone?

Thats what it is, the logo (its an L btw, not an arrowhead) stands on its own in the US they feel, in other markets where Lexus is not as well known they still use the Lexus badge.

well it's not like "Lexus" isn't plastered all over the car. front emblem, rear emblem, door sills, steering wheel, all the glass, wheel center caps...engine compartment, trunk mat...

it's there just in case u forget.. an 1 day someone asks what kind of car is that...

I've gotten into the habit of sayin it's an 07' Cressida Special Edition... very few of these were ever made... from what I know this is the only 1 with these options on the East Coast.. then I watch them walk away an Google Cressida

but seriously what ever happened to "Less is more"? aren't u still driving a Flagship even if people don't know it?

then again it's 2016 an it didn't really happen if it's not on fb,ig or twitter.. it's a miracle we've made it this far b4 posts... IJS

Lexus doesn't put their name and logo on the car more than any other manufacturer...

Yeah it's a preference for sure. They use the "name" badge on other products so maybe he just wants to differentiate himself from all the others.

I suppose but I don't want honda, toyota, ford whatever plastered all over my car either.

so what are we supposed to do walk around in head to toe Louis Vuitton logo'd track suits just so people know it's expensive... then why bother even taking off the window sticker with the full retail price on it....

Crass is crass...like bill Gates keeps his bank statements pinned to his lapel
