I can't unlock all doors with the key on me and grabbing the door handle. I don't use the key fob to unlock the doors.

Only my driver door opens and is unlocked.

I contacted carista and they told me where to go but it doesn't say "smart key" where they said to go. I sent them the bug report and we will see.

So for now if I have others with me, I slip my hand in the driver rear door handle on the way to my door. Kinda annoying but I don't really drive with others much.

I just adjusted my 2009 by following the owner's manual instructions starting on page 38. Now all the doors unlock when grabbing the driver's door handle.

if this works, thank you so much. i don't use my key fob either when i get into the car. my daughter and i get in easy, but my wife and son on the other side have to wait until i sit inside and press the unlock button. gonna try it as soon as i get home...

By golly it worked.

Now this means I have to read the whole manual for any other tricks I might want.

Yup, we determined that for your car, this setting is not configurable electronically (i.e. not via the OBD port). You have do to it using the instructions in the manual.
