Amen......and as it turns out the smoothest, softest riding, most quiet tire, also handles great. I posted this over on my thread but will ad it here as well. A CL member that has two 430's one a 02 and the other an 04 UL and the 02 has Premiers on them. He wanted to feel how a 430 rides with P7s and came over to drive my car since he lives close by.

Results........he said the P7s were right away much quieter or more quiet and that he could not hear the tires. We drove for about 7 miles on diff roads.

results.....he is ordering P7s immediately...I look forward to his post on my thread.

I know Toyos are rarely tested and compared by the mainstream media and tire companies. Did you happen to consider those? I only ask because we have a lot of Toyo dealers here. I wish Costco carried those Pirellis!

Just work with a local shop to order the Pirellis for you. My shop matched Tire Racks price. The second time I ordered Pirellis for my sisters car I ordered from Tire Rack and had them shipped. They ship next day done deal. I believe the big difference is that Tire Rack ads a free tire protection when u buy from them.

I had a set of Toyo Versado Noir on my '13 GS, I wanted the Pirellis at that point but my dealer was sold out.

The Toyos are also very smooth and quiet tires. Its hard for me to compare them to the Pirellis because they were on different cars, but if I couldn't get the Pirellis I would give the Toyos a shot. They have a 45 day ride guarantee too.

On this car though all I know is the Pirellis are excellent...

Yeah just living on an island leaves you handcuffed. They won't match Tire Rack cause they know it's $250-300 to ship so they are less likely to match. I've used TR before when the shipping was more reasonable but today it's hard to compete.

I also love my Pirellis. They have been excellent in the snow too. Getting another 6-8 inches tomorrow and not even concerned. With the traction control and these tires it has been unstoppable.

Thanks Steve, I'll have to call around. Shipping a set to Hawaii is $262.14

If the cost is that high and you can get the Toyos locally, I'd get them.

I'm all for finding the best tire for y car so I will look for who carries Pirellis if these are the best recommendation for a quiet and smooth tire. I'm looking for a great tire and although an all season fits the bill I wonder of they make a 3 season tire because seriously who drives in the snow????

I would get the best Michelin's that you can get through the Costco in Mililani. Honestly you are never going to really appreciate the P7's given that your longest drive might be what the H2 going to the North Shore? You get all the extra services at Costco plus $70 off this month Don't get me wrong I love my P7's but I make 400-1,100 mile runs and to me that is when the Pirells come into their own.

Mahalo Dennis, and that's only on the weekends, we can't count my daily 24 mile roundtrip that takes me 2+ hours..... I do like the service and warranty that Costco provides. One of the bright spots here.

Nope I come in from the east side in Hawaii Kai. Still need to be on the road by 6:15a to misss the rush. Commutes from Ewa top 2 hours with no relief in sight. My friends leave by 5:30a to make it into town. I used to live in Ewa in the 90's and traffic backed up at the H1/H2 merge. Today it backs up on Ft Weaver Rd! Just plain nuts!
