Foglights on without Headlights? (2013+)

Devh,
I appreciate the input.
While I do completely agree that it's a bit of a 'faux pas' to run with just the foglights in the daytime, I feel like that's a way to subliminally send a message to other car enthusiasts on the road that you're not just driving an "appliance" (which is what the much-less-reliable European brand car owners often used to refer to Lexus's, at least before the spindle grill added personality to the Lexus line).
Its kind of like "joining the car enthusiasts" car club, even if it may put off some "pure-ists".
Just my thought.

The fog light faux pas seem to have stemmed from European car owners particularly BMW and Porsche owners that thought it was a bit of douchebaggery to do so.
The Lexus name has already infiltrated pop culture and everyone deep down inside no matter what their bias knows that Lexus is an established brand. Do it if it makes you happy but there is no need to prove anything.

I've heard a few rt an wrong answers here.. shortest safest way is too relay ea fog at the fog light bulb plug.. I use an hid kit interface plug an cut/mod that this way no factory wiring is disturbed (for the most part) it gives u extra wire in case of mistakes. Yes it is separately fused (at the batt) Then a 3rd relay inside the car (ign for pos trigger also fused).. (neg output to 2 front relays) & here's the slick part you now get a negative trigger to that same relay (diode isolated) from the oem fog light switch on the column THROUGH an 2nd hidden switch under the dash b4 it connects to relay 3.. this way u can instantly go back to the factory set up... no muss no fuss..
Yes u won't have a fog light illuminated emblem during the day but who cares... if your like me your lights are on auto... an at night when the headlights come on it'll be there...
An there's no way for this to damage the oem system... fyi use the cig lighter power for ignition this way if there is any funny stuff there's a 3rd fuse on a non important circuit

If anyone cares I've even updated this mod by running a hidden 3 way round rocker switch (instead of the normal on/off hidden switch)an brought the Nike lights into the mix(same relay set-up as fogs at each Nike bulb) center potion (of 3way switch) is off/oem, 1 is fogs on for drl, 2 is Nike & fog (which can be Nike only because u can turn the fogs off at the oem switch) u also need to switch the interior triggers goin to the front relays to positive..

LOL. Hardly.
I have NO background in mechanics, electrics, etc. I'm in Law Enforcement. I failed grade 8 electrical shop, and never took any classes in automotive. All I'm saying is, anything that can be done on a Chevy can be done on a Lexus. No magic involved. Youtube, forum members, etc can all provide you with the information you need. It's a 12 volt system.....pos+, neg-, fuses, etc. Same as any other car on the road.
Besides Crowe......weren't you the one afraid to dive into a DIY brake job? How did that turn out for ya??!!
