You know what this means...
With an entirely new design, means the introduction of the possibility that the controls arms will be bad! I hope they get them right out the gate this time!
Devh:
Regarding our LS's, indeed this makes ours appear to be dated!
Aren't some of those Chevy's classics? Hence the LS.
Im very, very curious to know how this car will drive.
I love the rear and absolutely cant stop looking at the aggressive front end...
One thing this car is definitely not: Bland.

The rear end is really growing on me. They got the proportions right, which they didn't with the Mirai.
The rest of the car looks amazing.
Like others, I'll be in the market in 2025. I'm done taking the depreciation hit on new cars unless they don't have much of one (like my Forester, but unlike pretty much any luxury car).

I'll guess 440-450 hp, right in line with the Germans. I think it will be detuned a bit from GS F tune for the sake of quietness and longevity.
Guessing the LS 500h will have a bigger electric motor than the GS 450h, probably with total system horsepower 360-380 hp.

Of course the final production design will certainly be different, but as it stands I like the side profile, but neither the front nor rear appeal to me. However, one thing I've learned is that I can love or hate a pic of a new car, and then when I see it in the flesh I may have an opposite reaction.
The interior looks nice, but when it comes to interiors I have to sit in it to really know how much I like it.

Been watching a couple early videos of this concept on Lexus website....showing some of the features. Gesture control is cool. Then there facial recognition from the wallet keyfob and the car will come to you . Seem like the outer edges of the cross-the-dash screen are used as outside rear-viewing mirrors instead?
I don't mind the exterior, as it.

I"m guessing the production car will have very similar proportions; but the more I see it the more I like it. It's aggressive but still classy. I just hope the back seat room is the same. And some more headroom would be nice.
I doubt we'll see the LS500h here. Lexus sells a GS300h and IS300h in other markets to compete with diesels so I'd guess that's the plan with the 500h (I don't see them having registered that name in the US, have they?). I'd predict the 600h gets the new fancy Atkinson/non Atkinson engine for ~500 total HP.
Go speed racer!

This car has the spindle grill...

And I think it looks great with it.
Also, Lexus has made it clear the spindle grille will be incorporated into the entire line-up of vehicles, as its their distinguishable design signature.
So I highly doubt the spindle will be left off of any Lexus for some time.

I like it in this application, I like it on my LS. I like it on the IS, and the RC-F (specifically the F). I think it gets a little overdone on some of the models (specifically the new RX and the NX.
