Ditto. Family and friends (about 9 in all) and no issues whatsoever. Four Elantras, 2 Accents and a couple of Santa Fe's as well as a Tucson. One of the Elantra's has 300k kms (200k miles or so) and has been passed on from family member to family member.

One of my best friends has a 2004 Elantra with 150k+ miles. Never a single issue. The thing has changed my opinion of Hyundai a bit.

The new Maxima interior isn't as impressive in person. I happened to be in a Nissan dealership and I sat in both the new Max and the new Murano. It looked like all the effort and love had gone to the Murano, which was really nice for its class.

Acura RLX or the M70-good blend of tech and resale. Acuras last and hold their values.

The Acura (specifically the RLX) has taken a huge drop in reliability (from 2 down to 11) mainly due to electronics and transmission issues according to CR. Lots of talk about it too in the Acura forums. Buick has now surpassed them. I'm about to replace the transmission in my Acura (140k miles). Other than that, it's been pretty good. No electronic issues.

Not trying to convince or sway you. I bought a honda and towed with it as often as possible and have no trans. issues at 187k. Trans fluid is changed once or twice a year depending on use or color.

As for Sedans: I would maybe opt for the 2016 Jaguar XF S; Acura RLX Hybrid w/Krell; the Toyota Avalon Limited; maybe, MAYBE the new MB S550 (on a lease only) or the new Cadillac CTS V...I would stay clear of either KIA or Hyundai. Not until I know they have their Customer Service down pat. YMMV.
Another people mover option in SUV attire: 2016 LX570.

RIGHT NOW, you couldn't give me a new Bimmer (sad to say as I've been a huge BMW fan for decades)....save for a Z4, and Id give it to my wife.

But give me a 2016 Porsche 991.2 Carrera4S and I'd be a happy camper...

2006 LS 430 .. or Cadillac CTS... I want the smoothest ride possible so it's either Lexus or a Cadillac (as a distant second choice, but you made us choose!).

Have you driven a Cadillac CTS? They don't ride anything like the LS, quite firm and sporty.

Thanks for Your post. The CT6 has my attention. Hopefully the handling is a bit tighter.

No votes for a LX570? I'm surprised.

It may be no LS, but it's the closest thing in Lexus' offering.

I don't want to drive a huge truck like that around town every day personally. The LS is big enough lol

I hear you, but it got me thinking about just how much bigger the LX is than the LS. Both are large and in charge.

The '14 LX is 3" wider, but 3" shorter than the '13 LS. Don't ask why I chose those years.
