LS600 with 100k miles
I'm thinking about trading my LS430 and SC430 in and getting a 2008 LS600 with about 110k miles. My question is how reliable is the LS600 and am I expecting to replace anything? I know nothing about hybrid. Please any information would be great.

Take the time to do your research on the 600hL. Take it to the dealer for a thorough diagnostic. The 600hL can have hidden problems that isn't obvious to many buyers. Buying a '08 (7 years old and 110K miles) 600hL will probably have some issues and a good service history is a must. Talking with the previous owner could be a big help. You may not be able to get an extended warranty and repairs can be expensive.

Best way is to plug the VIN into drivers.lexus.com and see what it has been to the dealership for. I've used it to shop for my 460 and what carfax and autocheck didnt show was some really bad things that the previous owner refused to fix when pointed out by the dealership.

The usual list of suspects on 4LSes: front control arms, brake actuator, Mark Levinson amp. All 600s also have air suspension so shocks could be an expensive issue. That's well into the range of miles where any of those things (or plenty of others that aren't common issues) could go wrong.

You may also want to pay special attention to service intervals and compare what has been done vs what needs to be done.
Coolant flush
Spark plug change
Diff fluid change (up to you;Lesus states Lifetime, but I would get it done)
Trans fluid (up to you; Lexus states Lifetime but I would get it done)
Brake fluid change
Check the water pump for leaks
Last time brakes where done/life of brakes
All recalls done
If your a DIY guy, many of these things wont be too much of an issue, however they all need to be done/taken into consideration.
Lexus.com should provide details on all of this including any issue, if any, with the hybrid system.
Your nearing the point where Lexus no longer warranty's the hybrid battery I believe..but they hardly fail and if they do, its been mentioned that they replace it goodwill.
I know that some Lexus facilities would provide warranties when many others wouldn't, but I think that because the car has hit the 100k mark, there aren't any Lexus facilities that will warranty it and you're left with only 3rd part warranties and i'd surmise they'll be pretty pricey.
Just things to think about.
Considering the model year range you seem to be looking at, and 2017 upon us (new model), I'd wait if possible and grab a newer vehicle with much lower miles.
