Passenger side rear bump noise
07 LS460L with air suspension - Passenger side rear bump noise heard when going over pot hole or uneven road. It feels like a bad bushing or shock tower mount. Anyone with this experience?

Very well could be the control arms. It's a well known "defect", just look under FAQ for the LS model for lots of info. If this is your problem there are several ways to go about getting it fixed. The Lexus dealer is NOT a good choice$$$$$.

I'm not an expert but I do recall some rears being replaced. Maybe as a prophylactic? I would think that the manufacturer who makes the defective front units would use the same materials for the rear as well.

I experience same problem but it was on my rear drivers side. The air shock and actuator had to be replaced.

Has anyone replaced just the rubber parts of the control arms? The guy at the dealer said they attempted that fix before and it didn't work out nearly as well as replacing the entire arms.
I looked up the service history on the Lexus drivers site and it mentioned that the previous owner replaced that same passenger side rear air shock in 2013. Couldn't imagine that it could already be defective???
I'm a previous BMW driver (I still have 2). I bought the Lexus to get away from ridiculous maintenance.

There are replacement bushings available. It does require a shop with a press to my understanding. EBay has rubber ones and there's a thread here with a sponsor who offers polyurethane bushings. You can also buy complete aftermarket arms on Ebay for a reasonable fee. Many have taken this route with an independent garage or DIY.
Probably worth having them all looked at.

The more I listen to the noise, it sounds like the air shock is damaged.
Has anyone rebuilt an air shock? Is there a company that makes a rebuild kit?
I have seem some ballasts sold for the GX vehicles...

Bro, i just experienced that same problem, took it to the dealer and they said i need to replace the rear pass air strut, since i had a warranty i told them to go thru the vehicle with a fine tooth comb, turns out my upper and lower control arms had bad bushings, $6300 dollar later in warranty work i drive off and notice the rear pass side still had a little noise, took the car back 2 or 3 times till they figured the part they replace was defected and they ordered a replacement, about $1600 on lexus this time vice my warranty, so after a total of about 12 to 15 days and 3 loaners they got it right, good luck

It's funny: Unlike my BMW, you don't feel the road. But, you do feel any play in the suspension components. I'm not sure how to describe it, exactly. It's like it rides on pillows with a little bump disconnect when I go over potholes on the rear passenger side. It's driving me crazy.
Call it OCD, call it overly critical. Either way, I want this car to feel like it was intended when new. The shop foreman at the local Lexus dealership said I was too critical. I said: I just want everything to be the way it should. He replied with: Well, the 2007 LS line had a lot of issues.

Sound pretty much like my problem aka broken shock (deep bumps over pothole/uneven surface):
