Low coolant warning light on LS460 ?
Hello,
Currently thinking about buying a 2007 Lexus LS460.
Would like to know if the 2007 LS460 does monitor coolant level.
Does it have a low coolant level warning ?

Warns for just about everything. I don't thinl coolant level would have been skipped.

I just want to make sure. I found nothing in the owner manual about coolant level warning light.
I also search this forum to no avail.
It seems that the LS460 lacks some monitoring habilites compared to previous models.
For instance no warning light for a failed headlight.

I don't believe there is a low coolant warning light on the 07. The coolant level must be checked by looking at the coolant reservoir under the hood.

I think the lack of answers is because these trouble lights come on only when there's a problem. These cars are so trouble free we seldom experience trouble lights.

Odd thing to have a light for. Both actually.
If I'm low on coolant, chances are I'll know by a puddle under my car unless it is a small leak but not something I would base a purchase on. Especially with a Lexus.
Also I would be able to tell if I had a headlight out. Not something I need a light to tell me.
My 2007 with 68k miles original lights. No need for a warning light.

This is the first vehicle I've owned without a warning light. Even my old 88 Mustang GT has one.
As for the "need" for one on the 460, my water pump leak (that left no tell tail traces because the coolant crystallizes before it can ever show as a puddle), would have been caught by the monitor. Fortunately, I'm **** about checking my fluids regularly, so I caught it.
