it's been years since i have been back here, i just picked up a 2008 600h and there are a couple of things that seem off.

i have been searching all day, but to no avail have been able to find any answers.


1st. the ride height. this cars ride height is abnormally high. the high height button is not lit, but it sits high. when a buddy was driving it you see the front end lift a little.

2nd. damper settings are exaggerated, when i switch to sport and go over bumps, my son asked if the car was broken. on comfort and it feels like the front end is floating ( like a car with blown shocks).

3rd. front driver suspension sounds. i hear what sounds like a hard rubber ball in a box that makes a thumping sound over uneven roads at low speeds. at high speeds there are no sounds.

any help or guidance is much appreciated. thanks in advance

I had a similar problem when I purchased my car and it was because the height lever sensor link had snapped and caused the height of the car to be thrown off. Put the car on a hoist and check all four sensors.

My 08 LS600hL has all the same symptoms. The front seems rather high and the car is extremely floaty going over bumps at high speeds. I also have some suspension noises going over bumps at slow speeds.
