Default Update

I bought some carbon fiber wrap and was prepared to apply once I removed the trim. I removed one side. (which came off easily) and removed the existing wrap using a heat gun to warm up the adhesive. Underneath the wrap was nice chrome. I removed the adhesive with Turtle Wax adhesive remover

and it polished up nicely. I didn't even have to remove the other side as the sun came out and heated up the adhesive. I just pulled the wrap off with the trim still mounted.

I really like the look as it follows the lines of the window trim and matches chrome accents. I will post better photos later.

I'd like to see an up close shot, I tried to do the same with mine but the chrome underneath didnt shine right. It looked really dull. Glad you had better results

I will add better shots asap. The trim WAS dull prior to removing the existing adhesive. Once removed, it really shined with minimal polishing.
