Hello, I am doing some basic maintenance for a 2008 ls600hl. First time I have worked on a car with more technology. I am afraid I might damage something. From What I can see, there are 2 MAF sensors. What I wanted to know is, do I disconnect the battery located in the trunk and perform cleaning the maf and throttle body. Then reconnect battery and drive around to let car relearn driving pattern? Thank you

I posted a DIY for the 460 on this. I'm not positive it's the same procedure, but probably is. I did NOT disconnect the battery at any time. Just make sure you use a dedicated MAF sensor cleaner and be gentle with them.

I saw the diy for ls460, but i am cautious since it isnt exactly same engine and minus hybrid components. If you did not disconnect battery, does car still relearn driving pattern?

All of this is included in the 30K service at the dealership i go to.

They said that ohio is 1 of 4 states where the fuel isn't regulated, so they clean the entire fuel system including MAF's on the 30K service!
