The key thing here is that if you delete the resonators it would sound worse.
The resonators smoothen up the sound and mellows it out, with out them you would get a lot of unfiltered sounds.
If you want to make it sound even better I would add a pair Magnaflow mufflers.
Correct, the resonators stop the drone. Alot of peeps take out the resonators after putting an exhaust on and end up adding Heimholz chambers to the exhaust to stop it (they do work).
It sounds like it's got an x-pipe on it.
It does sound Great! Nice job and Thanks for sharing!
I was honestly surprised myself! You have to hear it in person,
No resonators, my mechanic told me to try the setup with the muffler delete, if more is needed, He would take of the resonators. The sound is perfect. No droning so far. I am loving it.
I think the car sounds great but I have a question, so what you did here is just chop off the muffler canister and weld on a straight piece of pipe in it's place? I'm still pretty new to all this modifying car stuff please bear with me, if that isn't how your shop did it could you give me a real quick rundown of how it was exactly done, I've read all the posts but can't quite understand it completely. And what type of difference would it make if you did this to the stock exhaust system as opposed to something aftermarket like the megan which a tune shop suggest I buy today as an easier solution?

2.5 Inch pipes. Its better to take off the OEM mufflers and keep them in case you wanna revert back.
I plan on doing something like this soon, Myself. I took the car out on a few twisties and while I'm impressed with how it responded, a little rumble and bark would have made it that much more fun.
A little report from the road. Ddddddroneeeeeee. 70-80 is the worst for this. Perhaps an angle cut or a turndown will help remedy it.
Put on some J-pipes or a Heimholz chamber. Here is a formula to figure out the length of the pipes for the rpm range that the drone is happening. Good Luck!
I did the muffler delete for a few days last year, and as much as it sounded AMAZING at idle and acceleration, the drone at any constant speed was unbearable.
