Weird sloshing sound when moderate braking
Both my wife and I noticed that whenever we brake moderately to hard, we can hear water sloshing around. The sound is coming from the driver side underneath, like maybe from the gas tank? Is this normal? We just purchased this car last month (2007 LS 460L) and love it! This is our third LS (Ls 400, 430 and now 460). Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Thank you.

had the water gushing noise in an 07, in my case it was heard when accelerating from a stop at cold start. It turned out to be air in the coolant system. Dealer did a pressure test and noise was gone. When I researched this, it was a symptom of water pump failure in the IS. So, I would try to get a mechanic to do a pressure test and take it from there.

I have determined that there is water inside my driver side door. Apparently after getting my windows tinted, there is now water in there. My understanding is there should be a couple drain holes in each doors, right? Maybe my drain holes are plugged somehow. Anyone know where the drain for the driver side door is?

We haven't seen many reports like yours - of water in the front doors. I follow these forums closely and I think your report is the only one I have seen.
Many of the '07 - '10 LS460s and LS600s had a problem with detached trim at the corners of the front windows. This trim detachment caused a "wind noise" problem.
In the early discussions about the wind noise I pointed out that on cars with the detached trim, in certain parking situations, like front down, leaning to one side, rain water would be funneled into the doors through a hole that is normally isolated by the trim.
Since no one is offering any tips, this may be something to consider.
There are some pictures of the area and a suggestion for a DIY in this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...noise-fix.html
