Default Any writeup or instructions on dash removal?

Just curious if anyone has detailed instructions or a guide on how to completely uninstall / reinstall the dash on a LS460 / 600hl.

Thanks!

Shawn

I would let a Lexus dealership deal with that task. It's probably complex and time consuming to uninstall/reinstall the LS dash.

This isn't going to be a big help, but I think somebody posted here that they did that. I don't even think that person started the thread but posted in an existing thread. Maybe someone here remembers more about it, or otherwise try searching but it might not bear fruit.

I have done two dash removals on cars that I parted out. I don't wish that on my worst enemy and it's probably one of the hardest thing to remove on a car. I will do ten clutch replacements before I would remove one dash.
If you lost something in the dash like a wedding ring you can use a borescope to find it.

He wants to remove the dash in order to replace it.

ALLDATA DIY costs about 20 bucks for a year subscription and covers all aspects of the repair and maintenance of the Lexus LS 460 including the dash.

I could not attach the pics, but this is the write-up which gives you an idea of whats involved. To be honest, it does not appear to be particularly difficult, but it is definitely time consuming. Lots of precautions too, particularly with all the airbags involved.
