Yes that was a surprise what the Hokies did to the Buckeyes. Youngest Son lives in VA, D-I-L big Hokie fan. We are taking our 83 year old friend to Columbia where she got all 3 of her Degrees for the Ohio State vs Ruckers game on the 17th of Oct. We are taking her 2010 LS460.

Couple months ago I went with two PS A/S 3's for the rear of my 13 F-Sport, but in 255/45/19, instead of 245. Looking at the car from the rear, 245 to me look rediculously small for a large car. But I do want to stay with the OEM F-Sport wheels, so I found the widest size that fix. The 255 is .2 inch taller and .4 inch wider. Anything wider will do for me

My OEM Bridgestone ER33 still have more than half tread at 15k, so I have been using them for the front. I am liking the PS AS 3 enough that I will buy two more to completely replace the Bridgestones.

Rated #1 on Tirerack for the LS in that category. Hard to beat those numbers.

I was initially going to go for the Conti PureContact with EcoPlus Technology but it looks like the Pirrelis are a better tire

The Bridgestones are all bagged, stacked, and stored with EXACTLY 189 miles on them. The next owner of the car will be the lucky recipient of these "brand new tires."

How do the bigger tires affect your speed/mileage? Is is more accurate or even further off than with the factory 245/45/19s? As I recall, going a bit bigger on my son's BMW brought his indicated speed into almost perfect sync with his actual speed (and mileage, of course).

According to this site, the 255 is "1.26% too fast" and if the 245 shows 62.14mph, the 255 will do 62.93mph, which to me is very minor. The site mentions anything less than 3% is acceptable. Your opinion may vary.

Not sure I understand.

From what I've read, indicated speed out of the factory is up to 10% greater than actual speed. So if speedo shows 65mph, you're actually going somewhere around 60mph. This is done for liability reasons (what isn't!) since the manufacturer could be held liable if the indicated speed was any amount UNDER the actual speed. Therefore, they put in a known error in the other direction.

The relevance is that owners who change tire sizes from those supplied by the factory have an opportunity to "fix" the speed (and thus mileage) error "built-in" to the vehicle by the factory. My son's BMW was running close to 8% higher than actual. When you're leasing a car, this can be significant and putting larger tires on can end up saving you some REAL money. Thoughts?

I immediately noticed that my 600h speedometer was registering fast. Using my GPS it turned out to be only about 4 percent. 78/82.

can't say yet for sure...didn't even break them in yet since I drive the LS so little nowadays
I can say I hear slightly more road noise and feel the road more then on the Turanzas (maybe because they are still too new?)
Also, cornering is a LOT better with these...but then again, part of it might be because they are so new

I can tell you that TireRack sent me 2 bad one though and had to go through the trouble of replacing them
The return procedure with TireRack/UPS is a major pain...got it taken care of eventually though
