Default Oil Treatment for Hesitation issues?

So......as many here know, some LS' suffer from a knock sensor issue that has yet to be properly addressed by Lexus. This has caused hesitation/lack of power issues due to the knock sensor improperly diagnosing lifter noise as knock, thereby retarding timing. This of course causes power loss and hesitation.

I'm debating whether to try a bottle of Lucas engine treatment to address the lifter noise as advertised on the bottle. There are other brands that make similar claims, but will only consider Lucas or other quality brand.

Thoughts?

While I'm not normally a fan of oil additives, I wouldn't be afraid to try one in a case like this. Read the directions on the product to see if one container is enough to treat all nine quarts of oil in a 460.

Back in the 70's, my brother had a '72 Gremlin with a 304 v8. The lifters became somewhat noisy by about 50k miles. He added a can of CD2 treatment and the noise stopped within minutes. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

My '07 LS has power loss problems after oil changes, like many here report. It clears up after 300-500 miles. I'm dreading the next oil change and may stretch it to 10,000 miles. Lexus re-flashed my car about 300 miles after the last oil change a few months ago and it's been running flawlessly since. If this re-flash stops the power loss after the next oil change I'll be happy, but I'm not betting on it.

I'm not normally a fan of "snake oils" either. In this case, I'm willing to give it a try. The Lucas product requires 1 bottle per 5 qts of oil.

My oil change (which I extended to 7k miles), is coming due soon and am curious whether I will suffer the hesitation again this time. Please post whether you get the hesitation again after your next change!
