2008 ls 460 won't start when I press brake and start engine button. Car battery is strong. Tried two different keys. Start engine button has green light and when push all dash lights come but engine does nothing. Tried holding Lexus emblem on key next to button and pressing unlock button on key several times. Nothing?

Is it cranking without a start or just ticking?

Last week I must have left the car on when we went into a restaurant. Long story but when we stopped I turned the car off and reset the oil change light. Then turned on the car. Thought I turned off the engine when we left. Since the key was out of range the car shut down but stayed in ACC mode. Two hours later she wouldn't start. We were 600 miles from home. Luckily I had my jump pack in the trunk. We were on our way in 10 minutes.

My 08 ls didn't start early this year. It turned out the starter went out... at 60k miles. I think it's because of the valve recall which I participated. Never good to take the engine apart and put back together.. a chance things were put back like they should have been.

seems a lot of people have issues after valve recall, which i had performed.

my starter is also out at 82k
