Trust me once you find out, you will wonder how you ever got along without them.

Congrats on the new car and good luck with it!

I purchased an Express Care warranty (Total Care) for my 07 LS460L and just had 10k worth of work on it - all done without any troubles. Two Mark Levinson speakers, all front control arms and coolant tank expansion hose.

Congrats on your purchase. Just bought myself a 2008 460L as well. You'll love it.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

A little update... While at the credit union they told me about their aftermarket warranty they sell. It looked pretty good on paper so I went with it. Was $2200 for 48k miles/48 months.

I work nights, so on my days off I stay up so as not to mess with my sleep schedule too much. In doing so, I read page after page in the LS460/600 section. I came across several posts about aftermarket warranties with most people saying to stay clear. So, I did a little research on the company mine was through and was not at all impressed with the reviews they were getting. I went by my credit union this morning and told them to cancel it. Now I am not sure what to do. Lexus won't give me a warranty as I have 95k on the clock - so I guess I take my chances or else find a warranty company that has great reviews.

In the mean time, I have purchased the data air controller, some 22" Vossen wheels and some tires. Trying to decide on the roof and trunk lid spoiler but unsure right now if I'l get them. Worst part, they still haven't even shipped my car

It is probably route66, correct? I tried them on my previous 08LWB and they paid for major issues more than what I paid for the warranty. They are great!

Only thing you need to careful about is the fact they don't cover air suspension air bags, which you are about to mess with via the data air controller :-)

Also, you have to get the enhanced electronic package to cover the NAV, ML and rear entertainment center. This will put you close to $2.6K

I just researched them comparing with the CPO for my new to me LS600

No, it was actually a subsidiary of Warranty Direct. I didn't know this until I did some serious research and then found out they were the same company. If you read reviews of Warranty Direct, get a nice hot cup of coffee and get comfortable

Stay away from warranty direct...

u can get route66 from PenFed CU. you can enroll online for $5 if you just donated blood to Red Cross. Problem is, they don't sell the enhanced electronic package which drove me to pay the dealer $4600 to certify 6 years/100K miles

Man that's a lot of money! So does the dealer still warranty a vehicle with higher mileage? Mine has 95k and I didn't think a dealer would even look at me for a warranty??

It has to be in service for less than 6 years and has less than 70K miles to be CPOed. Mine is eligibale for 3 more months and has 25K miles. So, I decided to take advantage of it.

Between control arms, air suspension, ML amp, plus the 1000 computers in the 600, etc. I was sold!

I don't blame you man. Looks like I'm going to wing it and hope for the best. Then I'll sign on here and complain when something breaks!
