Vossen and Lexani 20" wheel
Started the hunt for wheels today. Local wheel shop told me I should expect to pay approximately $3.5 -$4k+ for 20" wheels and tires. Michelins were $600 more than the other tires, falken, pirelli...said Continentals were crap. Really nice place and that is probably why the cost was more than I expected. Should I buy online (e.g. eBay)? I'd like to keep cost under $3k or leas if possible. Definitely would consider pre-owned.

Go for option #1 for the looks!
Also, are you looking more for comfort or performance for the tires?
btw, regarding price, i got some cheap 20" lorenzos and some expensive BBFGoodrichs on the last car and i was still out about $2500! Vossen's are certainly a more premium wheel and $3500-$4000 is in the correct price bracket

I agree with Princeakim.
I'm also leery about them bad mouthing Continental Tires. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
FWIW, I have Falken FK452 tires on my ride and they're wearing well and are great tires.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions everyone. This is really a great forum. I learned a lot about the vehicle prior to purchasing. Who knows, maybe this forum is contributing to sales for Lexus. I test drove a 2014 GS350 prior to driving the LS. Even before driving the LS, I felt the GS to be a bit lacking in power. Seems like I had to really wind it up. Drove a LS and that was all she wrote. I have a '08 ES350 bought new and always just assumed the LS would be similar to ES, but man was I wrong. Sorry to digress.

From personal experience I can tell you that the Continentals we had on my wife's car were the absolute worst set of tires I've even owned in 35 years of motoring... YMMV. Never again.

Well, it depends on the model. If you spend any time at Bimmerfest, they rave about them....can't remember which model though. I believe some members here at CL have them too and love them. Heck I swear by Michelin, but I can tell you I've had two different types from them that were absolute sheet! One set on my wife's old Jeep Grand and another on my Cobra. However, money no object, I'd always go Michelin.

Wheel #1 but I say 3k on a set of wheels is an average price for rims for this car, talking 22's also. But if you're going 20s I see 2-3k for a set of good wheels being easy to find.
