Default New car 2010 ls460 sport

Brought the car for the wifey for valentine day. The car was brought in Cali and shipped to Houston. Just received the car tonight due to shipping delays.

2010 ls460 sport certified pre owned.
Starfire pearl with black interior.
Dynamic cruise
ML and navi.

With the lights on does the climate and passenger button illuminate. Both of my top buttons don't light up on the center console

First and foremost will be a good detail and tint. After that will be DVD mod and maybe data air controller. I gotta finish my sc300 first before the ls460 will get rims. First impression is the car isn't as fun to drive as my 2006 gs430 but it handles way better than a regular ls460. I feel like the tranny makes the car indecisive on what gear it needs to be in. Nonetheless I love how it's so much roomier than the 3GS.

I'm glad I can join another CL model forum. Any advice and input on the ls460 is greatly appreciated.

Ton of features, love the comfort and it handles and feels way better than my 3gs430, but I think the powertrain definitely has something missing. It feels like the transmission is confused and isn't in the right gear when i need it or it stays in a gear too long without shifting. Beside the transmission I love everything about the car.

Congratulations!

It actually looks like the car I was going buy in Torrance but I had my girl with me when I found my 08 and it had the reclining back seats and that sealed the deal. I still love that pearl exterior though, awesome car!

^^^ Yup this is probably the car you are talking about from southbay lexus in california. For the price I couldn't find a better deal anywhere, but it is a royal pain in the butt to deal with buying a car out of state and trying to get it registered in your state.

Congrats and good luck with the new car!

As for the transmission, be sure it is not in the sport or snow mode for normal driving. Another possibility is this quote from a jmcraney post-

"After thinking about this some more, I think a better explanation for the relation of the "acceleration problem" and service events is that the Adaptive Transmission is reset during service if the car battery is disconnected. Resetting the transmission electronics starts the "learning" process over. Although this condition, the uncertain acceleration, is undesirable, it is probably normal as my car has gotten through this several times without going to the dealership and continues to perform very well - gas mileage is very good and acceleration and shifting seems perfect. Driving habits and conditions may influence how long the learning process takes. Driving for me is usually 20 mile trips with smooth acceleration and smooth stops and my car seems to get over the undesirable performance period in less than 200 miles of driving."

Otherwise I would have the dealer run a diagnostic on it.

Oh wow, that's cool. Yep that's a good car, I almost bought it, how funny, I started it up and got to sit in it, but didn't test drive it. Loved the interior! Enjoy, forgot it had dynamic, guess that's why that button on the right side of my steering wheel is blank and nothing is there, wah wah wah
