Brembo Brakes Squeel Lexus free repair
Check it out. Today I went in for my 5000 mile service and I was told that Lexus has a fix if your Brembo brakes squeal. It is free for 2010 to 2013 cars under warranty.
see thee attached flyer
they are changing mine and I will report next week after I drive it.

I have only heard the squeal a few times in my 2011 sport. But I have only had the car a few weeks.
Since it does not happen all the time I wonder if the dealer could duplicate the noise.
Any ideas on how they are to deal with and if I will have a hard time. Would be nice to get the free pads. Otherwise I was planning on switching to another brand when I needed replacement.

I hope the part number listed is the orginal part number. They have replaced by pads and shims twice, with 04465-OW151 pad kit the last time. This is the same part number listed on the bulletin, I still get the squeal on my 2011 ls 460 sport. Keep us advised!

My dealer said they have them? I was going to make them perform the TSB before I pick my 14 up on Feb 21. I'll double check. I know he said he had the pads, not sure about the shims. Is that the only difference is the shims?

Checked with my dealership on the replacement pads and shims. The word from there is a 10-20% reduction in squealing. I rarely hear my brakes with the windows up and music is playing. For that level of improvement, it's not worth having anyone diddle with the brakes.

Yes absolutely! I drove in to the dealership to trad in my 09 LS and drove out with the 2013 LS F Sport and the first things I noticed was how much less foot action it took to stop the car. The first few time I jerked forward.
There is no doubt that they are better.
And there is no doubt that the sequel.

I did not ask. When I go in for my new nav disk I will ask.

Yes they stop a little better. But the regular non brembo brakes are plenty good enough.
I have the 2011 sport but there is no way this car was to be driven like a sports car.
So to me I would rather have regular brakes that last twice as long. Have half the brake dust. Not as expensive to replace. And don't squeal.
